Notas Una de las prácticas que Xul implementó en su pintura, en particular en aquellas que presentan sus “décoras” u objetos decorativos (vasos, jarras, adornos, etc.) fue el de recortar alguna parte de la obra, dotándola en consecuencia de un formato irregular y a veces hasta descuidando el recorte mismo. Al considerar las obras del período que muestran esta particularidad se comprende que él recortó uno o varios de los objetos allí pintados, sea para destacarlo sobre otro soporte o integrándolo en un nuevo conjunto, o, finalmente, dejándolo aislado, convirtiéndolos en miniaturas que apenas exceden los 5 cm de alto y en pocos casos alcanzan los 7 cm.
