De hecho, los dibujos que aparecen firmados en 1960, están realizados sobre un dibujo previo que fue borrado pero que aún resulta visible y que se corresponde con el dibujo que aparece en su contracara. Los primeros apuntes del artista que se pueden relacionar con ellos aparecen en un cuaderno (“Cuaderno Araucano”, datado 1958 y 1959, CA-50), que tiene la particularidad de presentar también dibujos para grafías realizados en el período de su datación pero que en algunos casos retomó en los años subsiguientes.
