La subserie esta conformada por carpetas de recortes, elaboradas por Xul Solar. Las mismas, organizadas temáticamente contienen reproducciones de textos y de imágenes, extraídos de diferentes publicaciones, nacionales (Alianza, Antinazi, Crítica, Cabildo, El Federal, El Mundo, El Pampero, La Época, La Nación, La Prensa, La Razón, La Vanguardia, Voz del Plata) e internacionales (Il Corrieri, Life, Newsweek, The New York Times, The Nation, Time).
Por su diversidad reafirman los múltiples intereses del artista: arte, religión, lingüística, literatura clásica y contemporánea, filosofía, teosofía, antroposofía, astrología, tecnología, naturaleza, zoología, botánica, arquitectura, urbanismo, alfabetos, arqueología, música, modas, etnografía, gente, política internacional e iberoamericana, tecnología de guerra (barcos, aviones, armas, etc.), industria, medicina, alimentación y otros.

Xul Solar tenía todas sus carpetas clasificadas temáticamente, según la información que contenían y, algunas de ellas, también cronológicamente.
A partir del trabajo realizado por Sofía Frigerio bajo la dirección de Patricia Artundo, las carpetas se encuentran organizadas 21 en cubiertas rústica y 15 en cubiertas dura, distinguiéndose en este último entre las de color verde y azul. Cada conjunto está numerado de manera continua.
Como las fechas de los diferentes grupos de carpetas se superponen, se considera que cada carpeta es un módulo que se encuentra en proceso de elaboración, al cual se le va agregando información y continúa ampliándose con el tiempo.

La descripción de los documentos fue realizada por Verónica Tejeiro entre 2019-2022 tomando como base el Trabajo de Integración Final de la carrera Licenciatura en Arte realizado por Sofía Frigerio bajo la dirección de la Dra. Patricia Artundo, presentando en la Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias Sociales de la Universidad de Palermo, junio de 2006.
La autorización de dicho uso fue otorgada por la autora a la Fundación Pan Klub.

Las carpetas fueron conservadas dentro del fondo original. Una vez cedido a la Fundación Pan Klub, la Dra. Patricia Artundo identificó y clasificó las 36 carpetas de recortes .
En 2006 para el Trabajo de Integración Final de la carrera Licenciatura en Arte, Sofía Frigerio bajo la dirección de Dra. Patricia Artundo realizó una descripción formal y de contenido a partir de su investigación que fue presentando en la Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias Sociales de la Universidad de Palermo.
En 2019, en el marco del proyecto Xul Solar: Archivo Documental, subsidiado por Mecenazgo Cultural de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, en la clasificación del fondo documental se identificó la subserie.
Entre 2021-2022, se realizó el proyecto Xul Solar: recortes para la construcción de una obra de arte total a partir del Concurso Desempolvando Archivos (Fundación Williams y Fundación Bunge y Born) en el que se realizó la descripción de la subserie, las 36 carpetas y de XXXX documentos pertenecientes a la carpeta Zoe.

Hacia 1906, Xul Solar inicia una actividad que mantendrá hasta el final de su vida: la de recortar ilustraciones y artículos de diarios y revistas para pegarlos en hojas, que reúne en carpetas divididas según sus intereses.
En el conjunto de carpetas que preserva la Fundación Pan Klub el recorte mas antiguo datado es de 1889, mientras que el más reciente datado es de 1953.
Dentro de este arco temporal, los recortes se concentran mayormente entre 1941-1953, mostrando los múltiples intereses del artista. Sin embargo, la disposición de los recortes en las carpetas no es siempre cronológica, lo que nos permite suponer que el artista acumuló previamente los recortes y luego los compuso.

En la producción de Xul Solar el dibujo es una práctica que resulta estructural a su obra pictórica: a partir de 1913-1914 él se constituye en el punto de partida para la elaboración de sus pinturas y, de hecho, en muchos casos sus delicadas acuarelas lo dejan traslucir. Además de los dibujos entendidos como obra acabada –tinta, grafito y lápiz graso–existen otros que presentan distintos estados de ejecución: desde una primera idea para una pintura, a bocetos y estudios más elaborados. En algunos casos es posible registrar una primera idea para una obra y confrontarla directamente con la obra finalizada. En otros casos, a partir de ellos, se puede identificar casi todo el camino transitado por el artista desde aquella primera idea, pasando por distintas etapas de elaboración, hasta llegar a la obra final. Si bien el soporte para muchos de sus dibujos es el papel de dibujo tradicional, muchos otros fueron realizados en pequeños carnets de apuntes y desde mediados de los años cuarenta, en cuadernos escolares de papel cuadriculado. En estos cuadernos, la página aparece potencializada al ser dividida vertical y horizontalmente: allí, cada uno de los cuadrantes resultantes se constituye en un espacio para trabajar sobre pequeños bocetos que, en algunos casos, se constituirán en el punto de partida para nuevas pinturas. Estos cuadernos son en realidad, uno de los registros más completos del trabajo creativo de un artista. No se trata de los simples cuadernos de apuntes que cuentan con una extensa tradición en el arte occidental. Ellos son el lugar privilegiado por Xul para volcar todo su potencial creativo que no encuentra límite alguno, más que aquél que le impone el cuadrante respectivo, generando en el potencial lector la clara percepción de un horror vacui.

En la producción de Xul Solar el dibujo es una práctica que resulta estructural a su obra pictórica: a partir de 1913-1914 él se constituye en el punto de partida para la elaboración de sus pinturas y, de hecho, en muchos casos sus delicadas acuarelas lo dejan traslucir. Además de los dibujos entendidos como obra acabada –tinta, grafito y lápiz graso–existen otros que presentan distintos estados de ejecución: desde una primera idea para una pintura, a bocetos y estudios más elaborados. En algunos casos es posible registrar una primera idea para una obra y confrontarla directamente con la obra finalizada. En otros casos, a partir de ellos, se puede identificar casi todo el camino transitado por el artista desde aquella primera idea, pasando por distintas etapas de elaboración, hasta llegar a la obra final. Si bien el soporte para muchos de sus dibujos es el papel de dibujo tradicional, muchos otros fueron realizados en pequeños carnets de apuntes y desde mediados de los años cuarenta, en cuadernos escolares de papel cuadriculado. En estos cuadernos, la página aparece potencializada al ser dividida vertical y horizontalmente: allí, cada uno de los cuadrantes resultantes se constituye en un espacio para trabajar sobre pequeños bocetos que, en algunos casos, se constituirán en el punto de partida para nuevas pinturas. Estos cuadernos son en realidad, uno de los registros más completos del trabajo creativo de un artista. No se trata de los simples cuadernos de apuntes que cuentan con una extensa tradición en el arte occidental. Ellos son el lugar privilegiado por Xul para volcar todo su potencial creativo que no encuentra límite alguno, más que aquél que le impone el cuadrante respectivo, generando en el potencial lector la clara percepción de un horror vacui.

Es un cuaderno marca Mascota, datado 1955, del cual solo se conservan las tapas, y un pequeño recorte de diario. Las tapas son de cartón color verde envejecido. En el frente, en el ángulo superior izquierdo, escrito en lápiz negro y lápiz graso naranja: "3" y debajo, en lápiz negro y tinta negra: "14 VI" y de la misma manera "1955", en el ángulo superior derecho. La tapa tiene algunas manchas de tinta negra en el ángulo superior derecho y de acuarela violeta en el ángulo inferior derecho y hacia la mitad de la tapa.

En la producción de Xul Solar el dibujo es una práctica que resulta estructural a su obra pictórica: a partir de 1913-1914 él se constituye en el punto de partida para la elaboración de sus pinturas y, de hecho, en muchos casos sus delicadas acuarelas lo dejan traslucir. Si bien el soporte para muchos de sus dibujos es el papel de dibujo tradicional, muchos otros fueron realizados en pequeños carnets de apuntes y desde mediados de los años cuarenta, en cuadernos escolares de papel cuadriculado. En estos cuadernos, la página aparece potencializada al ser dividida vertical y horizontalmente: allí, cada uno de los cuadrantes resultantes se constituye en un espacio para trabajar sobre pequeños bocetos que, en algunos casos, se constituirán en el punto de partida para nuevas pinturas. En la producción de Xul Solar el dibujo es una práctica que resulta estructural a su obra pictórica: a partir de 1913-1914 él se constituye en el punto de partida para la elaboración de sus pinturas y, de hecho, en muchos casos sus delicadas acuarelas lo dejan traslucir. Si bien el soporte para muchos de sus dibujos es el papel de dibujo tradicional, muchos otros fueron realizados en pequeños carnets de apuntes y desde mediados de los años cuarenta, en cuadernos escolares de papel cuadriculado. En estos cuadernos, la página aparece potencializada al ser dividida vertical y horizontalmente: allí, cada uno de los cuadrantes resultantes se constituye en un espacio para trabajar sobre pequeños bocetos que, en algunos casos, se constituirán en el punto de partida para nuevas pinturas. Estos cuadernos son en realidad, uno de los registros más completos del trabajo creativo de un artista. Se trata de un cuaderno conformado por hojas sueltas de diferente tipo y tamaño, contenidas en tapas armadas a partir de dos fragmentos pegados de la revista Life. Hay hojas lisas, cuadriculadas, rayadas, y también hay invitaciones, panfletos u hojas impresas que Xul Solar utilizó para hacer anotaciones o apuntes. El contenido fue dividido en 26 folios, que comprenden una o varias hojas sueltas relacionadas.

Se trata de un Carnet de Apuntes, de 10 páginas lisas, troqueladas, desprendidas del lomo, sin numerar. Tiene anotaciones en lápiz negro y tinta negra, y dibujos. Tiene dos fechas inscriptas.
El carnet contiene anotaciones manuscritas en tinta negra y lápiz negro, con marcas e intervenciones con lápiz graso azul, rojo y verde. Algunas de ellas son Visiones, que no están relacionadas con el I Ching (El libro de las mutaciones), y en otros casos se trata de manuscritos sobre diferentes temas. En p. 5, texto manuscrito en lápiz negro, vinculado a la serie de Vías y paisajes de 1924-1930. Las páginas con dibujos no están divididas en cuadrantes sino que la mayoría de los dibujos están enmarcados individualmente en lápiz negro. En la producción de Xul Solar el dibujo es una práctica que resulta estructural a su obra pictórica: a partir de 1913-1914 él se constituye en el punto de partida para la elaboración de sus pinturas y, de hecho, en muchos casos sus delicadas acuarelas lo dejan traslucir. Además de los dibujos entendidos como obra acabada –tinta, grafito y lápiz graso–existen otros que presentan distintos estados de ejecución: desde una primera idea para una pintura, a bocetos y estudios más elaborados. En algunos casos es posible registrar una primera idea para una obra y confrontarla directamente con la obra finalizada. En otros casos, a partir de ellos, se puede identificar casi todo el camino transitado por el artista desde aquella primera idea, pasando por distintas etapas de elaboración, hasta llegar a la obra final. Si bien el soporte para muchos de sus dibujos es el papel de dibujo tradicional, muchos otros fueron realizados en pequeños carnets de apuntes y desde mediados de los años cuarenta, en cuadernos escolares de papel cuadriculado. En estos cuadernos, la página aparece potencializada al ser dividida vertical y horizontalmente: allí, cada uno de los cuadrantes resultantes se constituye en un espacio para trabajar sobre pequeños bocetos que, en algunos casos, se constituirán en el punto de partida para nuevas pinturas. Estos cuadernos son en realidad, uno de los registros más completos del trabajo creativo de un artista. No se trata de los simples cuadernos de apuntes que cuentan con una extensa tradición en el arte occidental. Se trata de un cuaderno utilizado por el artista para el estudio de grafías y, en menor medida, Pan Trees. Todas las páginas del cuaderno fueron utilizadas, tres páginas fueron recortadas. La división de las hojas en cuadrantes no es tan marcada en este cuaderno, algunas páginas tienen zonas delimitadas por cuadrantes, mientras otras que no fueron divididas presentan una multiplicidad de signos gráficos de tamaño pequeño del tipo que el artista utilizó en sus grafías.
Al dorso de la tapa, una inscripción en lápiz negro que indica la fecha: "14 XII 1960".
Las primeras páginas se caracterizan por una división en cuadrantes más organizada, con un promedio de 16 cuadrantes por página. A partir de la página 6, solo algunas zonas de la hoja se organizan en cuadrantes, mientras que en el resto de la página aparecen anotaciones o dibujos sueltos de grafías o bocetos de grafías y retrato grafías.

Es un cuaderno de hojas lisas, con páginas de guarda impresas en blanco y negro al inicio y al final del cuaderno. La página de guarda del inicio es una lámina:
"XLIV" identificada como "Cabeza de una diosa taoísta". En el reverso, esta tiene dibujos en lápiz negro de grafías. Una de ellas tiene figuras similares a la grafía Inv. 1421, que pertenece a la Fundación Pan Klub, y a Mwi done..., 1962, que pertenece a una colección privada. La página de guarda del final tiene un texto impreso con la descripción de la lámina. Solo una de las páginas del cuaderno tiene el dibujo de un Pan tree pintado con acuarela, y en el reverso de la primera página de guarda hay dibujos en lápiz negro. El tipo de Pan tree de este cuaderno puede asociarse, por su estilo y técnica, a un Pan tree (Inv. 1024) que pertenece a la Fundación Pan Klub.
El resto de las páginas están en blanco. Al principio del cuaderno faltan 5 hojas que fueron cortadas al ras del margen.

En la producción de Xul Solar el dibujo es una práctica que resulta estructural a su obra pictórica: a partir de 1913-1914 él se constituye en el punto de partida para la elaboración de sus pinturas y, de hecho, en muchos casos sus delicadas acuarelas lo dejan traslucir. Además de los dibujos entendidos como obra acabada –tinta, grafito y lápiz graso–existen otros que presentan distintos estados de ejecución: desde una primera idea para una pintura, a bocetos y estudios más elaborados. En algunos casos es posible registrar una primera idea para una obra y confrontarla directamente con la obra finalizada. En otros casos, a partir de ellos, se puede identificar casi todo el camino transitado por el artista desde aquella primera idea, pasando por distintas etapas de elaboración, hasta llegar a la obra final. Si bien el soporte para muchos de sus dibujos es el papel de dibujo tradicional, muchos otros fueron realizados en pequeños carnets de apuntes y desde mediados de los años cuarenta, en cuadernos escolares de papel cuadriculado. En estos cuadernos, la página aparece potencializada al ser dividida vertical y horizontalmente: allí, cada uno de los cuadrantes resultantes se constituye en un espacio para trabajar sobre pequeños bocetos que, en algunos casos, se constituirán en el punto de partida para nuevas pinturas. Estos cuadernos son en realidad, uno de los registros más completos del trabajo creativo de un artista. No se trata de los simples cuadernos de apuntes que cuentan con una extensa tradición en el arte occidental. Ellos son el lugar privilegiado por Xul para volcar todo su potencial creativo que no encuentra límite alguno, más que aquél que le impone el cuadrante respectivo, generando en el potencial lector la clara percepción de un horror vacui.

Al dorso de la tapa, escrito en lápiz negro, un listado de adverbios en inglés. Entre la tapa y la página de guarda, una página suelta con un listado de palabras en inglés escrito en lápiz negro, algunas palabras fueron resaltadas con lápiz graso color azul y naranja; al dorso, sobre el margen superior izquierdo, un cálculo matemático escrito
en lápiz negro. Al dorso de la página de guarda, sobre el margen superior izquierdo, cálculos matemáticos. La página 1 está cubierta de signos gráficos, estos signos son creados por Xul para la realización de grafías. La página 3 fue dividida en 9 cuadrantes pero no fue utilizada. En la página 4, grafías. En la página 6, un listado de divinidades griegas. En la página 8, dibujado en lápiz negro, el plano de un terreno y los datos de nacimiento del poeta Evaristo Carriego. En la páginas, 9-11, Pan Trees.

Se trata de un cuaderno utilizado por el artista principalmente para el estudio de grafías. Todas las páginas fueron utilizadas, algunas están divididas en cuadrantes. En este caso el número de cuadrantes promedio es de 14, esto da como resultado dibujos más pequeños y mayor cantidad de los mismos por página.
En el reverso de la página de guarda, una inscripción con al fecha: "15 I 58" y cálculos matemáticos. Las primeras ocho páginas presentan dibujos de paisajes y figuras antropomorfas. La página 9 no fue dividida y contiene dibujos en lápiz negro de siete Pan Trees. En la página 11, pequeñas grafías y la fecha "VI 58". En las páginas 12-13,
signos gráficos y grafías pequeñas. En la página 14, estudios fisiognómicos. En la página 15, pentagramas con algún tipo de notación musical y estudios para la parte superior de Pan Trees. En las páginas 22-23 anotaciones de un tercero. En las páginas 24, 26-28, estudios fisiognómicos sobre una figura que aparece en los papeles sueltos identificados como "Propuestas para una vida futura". En la página 34, el hexagrama del I Ching n. 64 (Wei Chi) y notas sobre religión. En la página 45 los datos de nacimiento del compositor alemán Engelbert Humperdink y a continuación los datos correspondientes al nacimiento de Santiago Cogorno, artista argentino.

En la producción de Xul Solar el dibujo es una práctica que resulta estructural a su obra pictórica: a partir de 1913-1914 él se constituye en el punto de partida para la elaboración de sus pinturas y, de hecho, en muchos casos sus delicadas acuarelas lo dejan traslucir. Además de los dibujos entendidos como obra acabada –tinta, grafito y lápiz graso–existen otros que presentan distintos estados de ejecución: desde una primera idea para una pintura, a bocetos y estudios más elaborados. En algunos casos es posible registrar una primera idea para una obra y confrontarla directamente con la obra finalizada. En otros casos, a partir de ellos, se puede identificar casi todo el camino transitado por el artista desde aquella primera idea, pasando por distintas etapas de elaboración, hasta llegar a la obra final. Si bien el soporte para muchos de sus dibujos es el papel de dibujo tradicional, muchos otros fueron realizados en pequeños carnets de apuntes y desde mediados de los años cuarenta, en cuadernos escolares de papel cuadriculado. En estos cuadernos, la página aparece potencializada al ser dividida vertical y horizontalmente: allí, cada uno de los cuadrantes resultantes se constituye en un espacio para trabajar sobre pequeños bocetos que, en algunos casos, se constituirán en el punto de partida para nuevas pinturas. Estos cuadernos son en realidad, uno de los registros más completos del trabajo creativo de un artista. No se trata de los simples cuadernos de apuntes que cuentan con una extensa tradición en el arte occidental. Ellos son el lugar privilegiado por Xul para volcar todo su potencial creativo que no encuentra límite alguno, más que aquél que le impone el cuadrante respectivo, generando en el potencial lector la clara percepción de un horror vacui.

El cuaderno está compuesto por 90 páginas con anotaciones manuscritas en lápiz negro, tinta azul y fucsia, y dibujos en lápiz negro, con intervenciones en lápiz graso de
color. Como sucede en otros cuadernos, hay páginas divididas en cuadrantes más pequeños, y otras páginas donde los dibujos están uno a continuación del otro,
limitándose entre sí. Las 30 páginas sueltas, a continuación del cuaderno, están numeradas del 91 al 118, con dos páginas sin numerar entre la 115 y la 116.
Entre el contenido del cuaderno, incluyendo las 30 páginas sueltas, hay dibujos de las Cartas de Tarot modificadas por Xul Solar, estudios de Pan trees, fachadas
arquitectónicas, hexagramas y trigramas asociados a símbolos astrológicos y también a las tablas construidas por Xul para el I Ching, tableros de panajedrez, estudios
fisiognómicos, cálculos matemáticos, estudios de letras modificadas para las grafías. Varios de los dibujos son similares a las tintas de principios de de la década de 1950.
Incluye, asimismo, un diseño arquitectónico para la casa del Tigre.
